Lisa's Practice
Lisa Gilbar, LCSW specializes in coping with anxiety. Within that specialty, she treats issues such as school/test anxiety, social anxiety, phobias, OCD, career transitions, workplace stress, pregnancy & postpartum anxiety, anxiety in peer & romantic relationships, and general worry. She also specializes in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia.
Lisa also has a unique specialty helping people push themselves outside of their comfort zones. Whether that means dating more, going on a roller coaster, or even just trying a new food, Lisa believes that, as Neale Donald Walsch says, "Life begins at the end of your comfort zone." It can be anxiety provoking but Lisa's specific approach will help guide you through it in a calming and hopefully even fun way.
Lisa is a Cognitive Behavioral Therapist. In combination with CBT, she also incorporates Mindfulness, Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia.
